A foreign delegation on tour of the Soviet Union makes an unannounced stop at a collective farm. Afterwards, the farm's boss speaks to the local Party secretary.
"Why didn't you warn me in advance? The foreigners saw everything—the ruined barn, the empty fields, all the misery and poverty!"
"Don't worry," replies the Party secretary.
"But now they'll talk about what they saw all over the world!"
"So? Let them indulge in their usual slander."
