An old Ukrainian is enjoying his tea one day when his grandson runs in.
"Grandfather, the radio says that the Russians have gone into space!"
"All of them?" he asks.
"No, only one."
"Then don't get my hopes up like that!"
Variants have the Ukrainian doing some other mundane activity like polishing his rifle, or have him silently return to his task after hearing "Only one." If told aloud, it sometimes simply ends at "All of them?" with an audibly excited voice.
